NADIA ROSA: INFLUENCER & BUSINESS WOMAN

NADIA ROSA: INFLUENCER & BUSINESS WOMAN

Nadia Rosa Interview Adam Heath Perth

With three thriving businesses under her belt we were thrilled to sit down with the beautiful Nadia Rosa as she gave us a glimpse into her stylish, yet very busy, life. Nadia opens up about her earlier years working Sydney's gruelling PR scene that ultimately led her home to Perth to launch her own ventures. Currently she runs three successful businesses - Maison D'Amore, Isabeau and Co. Creative Agency. Nadia handpicked her wish list of our newest stocked brand GANNI, and shows us the pieces she can't live without this season…

You’re the co-owner and creative director of multiple business, as well as a successful Instagram influencer - What does a regular day involve in your various roles?

My days are generally pretty busy. I always try to start the day with a walk or Pilates to clear my mind. On a normal day I’m usually packing orders, organising new campaigns with my wonderful business partners (Emmi Masten & Hayley Bonham), co-ordinating new orders with our manufacturers or shooting for my personal platform.

You started your career working in PR in Sydney, tell us about your start and journey in the PR, lifestyle and fashion industries?

I began my career working in PR in Sydney. I was extremely lucky to work alongside some amazing creatives. I learnt everything I know now from my time there. It was hard work and a tough industry but I soaked it all in and knew I had to apply what I learnt to create something of my own. I love learning new skills and am always looking to grow. Working for yourself is so rewarding as well as challenging but I love the freedom of being able to do what I love and express it in a way I want to.

What would be the hardest lesson you’ve had to learn as a business owner?

You can’t please everyone!!

What is the best business advice you have ever received?

You learn from your mistakes and I certainly have. I was told not to sweat the small stuff and if it doesn’t work fix it.

Describe your own personal style:

Classic, Chic, Comfortable, Relaxed!

How do you see the future of fashion?

Not sure, fashion is always shifting but I’m excited to see what’s to come. I’m hoping more brights and florals (as we are currently working on new florals for Isabeau).

Can’t live without?

Family, Friends & Travel.

Do you have any mentors?

I have many Mentors. I have life mentors and business mentors who I turn to most days for advice. My sister Elana mentors me creatively. My biggest and most supportive would have to be my mum, she is the wisest woman I know. She is always giving me the advice I need, keeping me grounded and motivating me to work harder.
